“Living life in Colour: Evolution of Colour Analysis from Seasonal to Tonal “, Pat will be sharing the wealth of knowledge she has gained over almost four decades in the image industry. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with a range of colour analysis systems, including the original Four Seasons, the ‘Flow’ system, the 12-seasonal palettes, and the expanded tonal system featuring 24 individual palettes.
In her presentation, Pat will explore the contributions of influential figures such as Johannes Itten, Albert Munsell, Carole Jackson, Doris Pooser, Mary Spillane, Veronique Henderson, and her own role in shaping the modern and adaptable Colour Me Beautiful system they use today.
Pat is a seasoned image consultant and the Director of Training at Colour Me Beautiful, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, who has 38 years of experience in the image industry. She joined Colour Me Beautiful in 1988 as its sales manager, but after a few short years started her own image consulting business and worked part-time with CMB as their leading Corporate Consultant and Training Manager. For almost four decades she has been instrumental in developing Consultant training and the Men’s Image divisions of the company.
After 20+ years of colour-analysing women and men using the seasonal method (latterly, the 12-season concept), Pat co-developed the extended tonal system (24 individual palettes) that the company uses today. It proved a resounding success with clients and consultants alike, as this gave even more flexibility when deciding on the shades a client could wear. CMB adopted the phraseology, ‘we don’t show people what colours to wear, we show them how to wear colour.’
Pat continues to develop Colour Me Beautiful’s training programs, including virtual training initiatives, ensuring that consultants are equipped with the latest knowledge in personal, retail and corporate image consulting.
Pat is co-author of Colour Me Confident, Image Matters for Men, Colour Me Younger, Be A Beautiful Bride, Colour Me Slimmer and The Make-up Manual.
