What does it mean to build companies that truly lead with change? Join us at the VEJA Nolita store fora timely conversation that brings together voices from journalism, fashion, and environmental action toexplore how brands can balance responsibility, transparency, and innovation in today’s landscape.​

The panel features:​

David Gelles, reporter at The New York Times Climate Desk and author of Dirtbag Billionaire: HowYvon Chouinard Built Patagonia, Made a Fortune, and Gave It All Away. He will share insights from hisreporting on Patagonia’s founder and other companies that are redefining what it means to be aresponsible brand.​

Luciana Batista Pereira, VEJA’s Sourcing Director in Brazil, oversees the brand’s supply chain fromraw materials to finished product. She will offer an inside perspective on the challenges and realities ofbuilding a transparent and fair production model.​

Mara Hoffman, designer, artist, and founder of her namesake label, has long explored the intersection​ of fashion and environmental responsibility. She will reflect on her journey of building – and ultimately​ closing – her brand, and the lessons it offers for the industry today.

Discussion to be moderated by The No. 29’s Erin Allweiss.​

Discussion to be accompanied with drinks provided by The Sorting Table, followed by a Q&A session.
