David Gelles, reporter at The New York Times Climate Desk and author of Dirtbag Billionaire: HowYvon Chouinard Built Patagonia, Made a Fortune, and Gave It All Away. He will share insights from hisreporting on Patagonia’s founder and other companies that are redefining what it means to be aresponsible brand.
Luciana Batista Pereira, VEJA’s Sourcing Director in Brazil, oversees the brand’s supply chain fromraw materials to finished product. She will offer an inside perspective on the challenges and realities ofbuilding a transparent and fair production model.
Mara Hoffman, designer, artist, and founder of her namesake label, has long explored the intersection of fashion and environmental responsibility. She will reflect on her journey of building – and ultimately closing – her brand, and the lessons it offers for the industry today.
