‘If Jewels Could Talk’ with Carol Woolton and Chrissie Douglas

Join us for an evening of delight as we are joined by internationally renowned jewellery expert, Carol Woolton and Chrissie Douglas, pearl expert and founder of Coleman Douglas Pearls.

The evening will include an in conversation between Carol & Chrissie on all things jewellery, specifically around Carol’s new book “If Jewels Could Talk” which delves into the history, cultural significance and eclectic trivia of jewellery. Attendees will also have the chance to ask their own questions, meet Carol & Chrissie and have their book signed by Carol herself – all whist enjoying delicious food and champagne in our glorious jewellery room.

About Carol Woolton

Carol Woolton is an author and broadcaster and long-term serving editor at British Vogue She’s contributed widely on the subject of jewellery for the Financial Times, Vanity Fair, Air Mail and the Daily Telegraph.She’s the author of multiple books including Vogue The Jewellery, and launched the podcast If jewels could talk in 2020 and is co-founded the Leopards charitable initiative mentoring young talent into the industry.

About Chrissie Douglas

Chrissie Douglas hails from the foremost pearl specialist family in Aberdeen – A&J Smith Jewellers, she was born in Mexico to an artistic family and founded Coleman Douglas Pearls in September 1989; a design studio specialising in Natural and Cultured pearls.
